Where major refurbishment is planned, an asbestos refurbishment survey will normally be required. The survey is designed around the proposed work and aims to identify asbestos-containing materials within the building before work begins. Typical projects include:

For smaller jobs, where work is limited to a clearly defined area, the asbestos refurbishment survey can often be targeted just to the parts of the property that will actually be affected. JMP has considerable experience with targeted surveys for:

A Management Survey is used to locate asbestos-containing materials that could be disturbed during a building's day to day use. It is not as intrusive as a Refurbishment Survey.
It is commonly used for commercial premises, communal areas, workplaces, landlords, housing providers and organisations responsible for managing buildings.
A full asbestos survey is not always necessary. If you have a specific material or individual item that you are concerned about, our sampling may be suitable for you.
Samples are carefully collected and tested at UKAS accredited laboratory, giving you a clear result on whether asbestos is present.
You will be issued with an asbestos identification certificate with results of laboratory analysis clearly stated.
